Puffer Fish Facts

How often to I put salt in the tank for my spotted puffer?
My fish is a SPOTTED PUFFER FISH. NOT a dwarf or ANYTHING else. He’s a SPOTTED. PUFFER. FISH. He is very, very little right now. Smaller then a goldfish. The sticker on the tank at walmart said he could grow to be about 6 inches. He’s a freshwater puffer, but he needs salt in his tank. I know what kind and I have it. My ONLY question is, how often do I put the salt in? He needs two tablespoons for the size of my tank. We asked the girl at walmart how often to put it in and she clearly had no idea.
PLEASE if you do not know the answer DO NOT ANSWER. If you have other facts that I may need to know for CARING for the fish MYSELF IN THE TANK HE IS IN, tell me.
This is the second time I;ve asked this question because people kept giving me crap.
He needs 1 tablespoon for every five gallons. He needs two fo rmy tank because I have a ten gallon tank.
I’m not going to give you a long and elaborate answer. Sorry. You most likely have a Green Spotted Puffer. This fish needs to be in brackish water while young. As it becomes an adult it will need to be in a full marine environment. Also these guys REQUIRE a 30 gallon minimum tank size.
