Can I get a Florida residents fishing license?

I just moved to Florida from Georgia and I was wondering if I am now considered a resident of Florida? I saw something on the Florida website that said you have to wait six months, but that just doesn’t make sense to me. How do I fish for 6 months?

The key word be Resident, in other words you have to live there for that period of time and have proof of it before a’ license will be issued. I’ve been doin’ this fishin’ thing for over 50 years + now and Florida along with the other 49 states regulations change so d _ _ n much, that along with their havin’ ta’ use 10 million words just to get a simple GD TWO+TWO = FOUR answer/understanding of em’ is fffin’ ridiculous.
