Fish Tanks For Beginners

Possible ick infestation in 5 gallon tank!! Beginner with fish!? Please help
?
Today my brother plops in three baby spotted cory cat’s in my fish tank with my newborn comet. I was looking at them in the tank and I noticed my comet had white spots on it’s fins of which it didn’t have earlier, but the cat’s don’t have any. So I looked up white spots on the fins and all the results pointed to ick!! So I need to know how to clean: the ornaments, filter, tank, plastic plants etc. And medicine for my baby comet and the cat’s just in case!!
And please no lecture about how they shouldn’t be together and the tank size, it’s just a temporary set up for the rest of the week.
If you are a beginner, you should now know that Comet fish grow to be a foot or two long and therefore need a tank of 60 gallons or more to thrive. You should also know that you cannot mix these fish. Cory cats are tropical and need heaters whereas Goldfish are cold water fish and do not do well in warm water.
Your fish probably have ick/ich due to bad water conditions. Even as babies, Goldfish produce a lot of ammonia and that 5 gallon tank, especially with two other fish in it, is going to become very dirty very quickly. Since they have ich/ick now, I don’t know what much else there is to do, seeing as in that tiny tank might’ve been the cause of the ich/ick outbreak.
Go to the store and buy ick/ich treatment, the drops. See how that works out, but you really shouldn’t have put them in the tank in the first place.
