Exotic Fish
What kind of exotic fish could I get for a 120gallon tank?
I want really rare fish, size doesn’t really matter, I just want a list of rare fish that can be in the tank. (Freshwater, MAYBE brackish type)
I don’t know how experienced an aquarist you are, but if you’ve got the experience under your belt for it you might try an arowana, red tailed catfish, or clown knife fish. I don’t have experience with any of these–and I don’t honestly know exactly how big they get or what size tank they need (I’d guess any one of those would get big enough to need the tank to itself), I just know they are pretty exotic. I myself have a Black Ghost Knifefish, which isn’t REALLY rare and exotic, but it also isn’t in most people’s tanks (when someone comes to my house, they’ve never seen anything like it and are mesmerized by it), and its a really beautiful, graceful fish and is a lot of fun, can be trained to eat out of your hand, even play in your fingers when you stick your hand in. Plus they are a lot more affordable than what you might spend on the others. Good luck!
